Cathy Fitzgerald, who received her Visual Culture PhD by Practice from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, Ireland, is an Irish-based New Zealander. Living within Hollywood Forest, a monoculture plantation that is becoming a permanent mixed-species forest in rural Ireland, has inspired her ongoing ecosocial art forestry practice and teaching since 2008.
