Glenna Lang
Glenna Lang (1951–) is an author, graphic designer, and illustrator. She is a lecturer at Tufts University’s School of the Museum of Fine Arts.
Lang is co-author and illustrator with Marjory Wunsch of Genius of Common Sense: Jane Jacobs and the Story of The Death and Life of Great American Cities (David R. Godine, 2012). The book was chosen as a 2009 Notable Book by both the New York Times and Smithsonian Magazine, and one of Kirkus Reviews’ Best Young Adult Books of 2009. She is most recently the author of Jane Jacobs’s First City: Learning from Scranton, Pennsylvania (New Village Press, 2021).
Lang’s illustrations appear regularly in publications like Atlantic Monthly and the Boston Globe. In addition to freelanced graphic design work, she also served as a writer, editor, and designer for National Park Service’s Longfellow House Bulletin between 1996 and 2012. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
